What we collect
Nothing. CmdPad has no sign‑up, no login, and no user accounts. We operate no server that your devices talk to, and we run no analytics, tracking, or advertising code.
Where your data goes
Your iPhone or iPad connects directly to your Mac over your own local network. Commands, clipboard contents and snippets travel only between your two devices, encrypted with a key derived fresh for each connection. None of it reaches us.
Clipboard history
What you copy on your Mac is kept so you can reach it from your device. It is held on your Mac and on the device you paired, and nowhere else. Turning off the connection or removing the app removes it.
Camera
If you enable wake‑on‑approach, the front camera runs only while the screen is dimmed. Each frame is reduced to a 32×24 grid of brightness values, compared with the previous grid to notice movement, and discarded. No image is recorded, saved, or transmitted. You can switch this off in Settings.
Local network
iOS asks permission for local network access because that is how your device finds your Mac. It is used for that and nothing else.
Purchases
The Pro unlock is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, payment details, or Apple Account. Your device checks the receipt with Apple to know whether Pro is unlocked.
Children
CmdPad is a utility for controlling your own computer and is not directed at children. Because it collects no data, none is collected from anyone, of any age.
